Select your licence type on the left and follow the instructions. You can click on the download buttons to download the files or view the recording.
License Type
License Activation
You can activate your GstarCAD Standalone licence yourself by following the attached PDF instructions (see page 2). Please activate the TRIAL licence first, then convert it to the perpetual licence. The process is also demonstrated in the video below.
License Transfer / Deactivation
If you change computers or reinstall Windows, please click Return Licence first, then reactivate the licence on the new computer (see page 10 of the manual for step-by-step instructions). The process is also demonstrated in the video below.
Installing the License Manager
Download and install the ‘License Manager’ application on the server PC.

Activation / Deactivation of network licences
If you don’t already have it, please download the GstarCAD Trial version and activate it using your serial number to convert it into a permanent license.

PDF Instructions
Network license users connect to the server following the instructions on page 8 of the GstarCAD 2026 Activation and License Return Guide, where they enter the IP address of the server and the port (default 27000).
Important: When making changes on the server , first click Return License in the License Manager application, then reactivate the license after the changes.
Activation of Dongle USB License
Download the GstarCAD Trial if you don’t already have it, then activate it using your serial number to convert it into a permanent licence.
For the first activation, follow the instructions on page 9. For subsequent starts, simply insert the USB stick and use the licence.
